چکیده

Carbon fibre reinforced polymer is a widely used material in engineering applications and expected to be extensively the transportation sector due its light-weight properties. It high value, energy intensive material, which mostly landfilled at End-of-life, however, it could potentially recycled replace virgin different sectors. Therefore, considering also significant amounts of End-of-life aircrafts automotive future, imperative identify circular economy pathways for this waste stream. This study investigates feasibility cross-sectoral pathway carbon thermal recycling proposes four-tier reverse supply chain network aeronautic sector. A novel MILP optimisation model developed, order optimise structure minimise costs proposed design problem with an end-to-end scope. The applied geographical context Europe, 2023 2050. results indicate that optimum relatively centralised processing facilities central Europe. economically viable; process even more attractive when resin too.

Sectoral networks and macroeconomic tail risks in an emerging economy

This paper aims to explain the macroeconomic volatility due to microeconomic shocks to one or several sectors, recognizing the non-symmetrical relation in the interaction among the Ecuadorian economic sectors. To grasp the economic structure of this emerging economy, a statistical analysis of network data is applied to the respective input-output matrix of Ecuador from 1975 until 2012. We find ...

Designing two-echelon supply networks

A modern distribution network design model needs to deal with the trade-offs between a variety of factors, including 1) location and associated (fixed) operating cost of Distribution Centers (DCs) as well as their contribution to total transportation cost; and 2) holding and fixed ordering costs at DCs and retail outlets, in order to minimize the costs of managing the cycle stocks. In addition,...

Designing Eco-Effective Reverse Logistics Networks

Reverse Logistics Networks (RLNs) have grown in importance after return policies became compulsory. Lately, questions have been raised whether they are as helpful to the environment as possible. Efforts have been conducted to optimize RLNs in terms of their eco-efficiency, minimizing costs and emissions; still, results are not advancing with the necessary speed. Alternatively, the ecoeffectiven...
